Broken Laptop Screen?

I've got an Advent 7110 and it had two lines in the screen only small lines but it didnt bother me.While I was asleep my little brother got his hands on it and he accidentally dropped it I've got it over 2 years so warrenty is out the window and I've no insurance is there anyway I can fix the screen because whats happening now since he dropped it is I've got to hold the screen forward and if I let it go then it starts loadin from halfway down the screen its a bit hard too explain. Can I fix this myself I'm not leavin it in too be fixed because it would cost more than to buy a new one so if I cant fix it myself then im just going to get a new one thanks every1 who helps
