Why do women get the goriest deaths in horror movies ?

I guess guys who decide what movies to support like horror flicks with lots of women being tortured and dying, and they pay writers, directors and actors to make sure women are displayed as helpless stupid idiots (as well as quite a few guys), or they like to show some smart nerds getting tortured and dying, as they somehow "deserve" to die. I don't watch horror flicks as I don't need to watch stupid ppl getting killed, by a crazy killer, it doesn't help my opinion of men and women, as its low enough. I don't know why other ppl enjoy them, but then again, I don't understand quite a few ppl.
