What are the number of chromosomes in meiosis?
this is my question you know how chromotids form chromosomes to get ready for divison is interphase 1. in the meiosis 1 phase at the start the one cell has 46 chromosomes? and then divides into 2 cells with 23 each? i guess 11.5 chromosomes from each parent? then in meiosis 2 it divides again into 4 cells but how do they all end up with one chromosome?? really confused and someone explain this to me in simple terms? and how are the 4 daughters cells haploids and the sister cells haploid to? and what is difference between sister cells and daughter cells??
