Does God really want to limit us to the Bible's teachings?

No it's not your way of life that makes you Godly. There is only one transforming power over sin, and that is to be washed clean by repentance and faith in Jesus Christ as savior. There are many "religions" on earth. There is only one way to the Father, and that is through the Son.
