Rubbing Materials Together- Positive and Negative?

I need help with rubbing materials. When you rub a conductor against an insulator which becomes negative and which becomes positive? Also, why does this happen? What happens to make the electrons transfer from one material to the other. Could you use Aluminum and Wool as an example please? THANK YOUU
