Tell me about Vancouver please !?

Hi all , I have a job proposition in Vancouver , can you tell me about the people there, the quality of living, the weather, the rates to rent a flat, I live in south of France, and I m having a hard time : no job and people here are very aggressive , I want to change my life and don t want my 3 yrs daughter growing up like this...
